Payment terms will be specified at the time of booking. We accept major credit and debit cards. All prices are quoted in GBP and include VAT where applicable.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations made more than 60 days before the arrival date will receive a full refund of any deposit paid. Cancellations made within 60 days of arrival may be subject to forfeiture of the deposit. Cancellations within 30 days of arrival may be subject to the full booking amount.

OCCUPANCY

The Doune Estate accommodates a maximum of 12 guests. The number of guests must not exceed this limit at any time during the stay. Additional day visitors must be agreed in advance with the estate management.

CARE OF THE PROPERTY

Guests are expected to treat the property and its contents with care and respect. Any damage caused during a stay will be charged to the guest. The Doune Estate reserves the right to charge for any breakages, damage or excessive cleaning required following a stay.

LIABILITY

The Doune Estate accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury sustained by guests or their property during their stay, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law. Guests use the estate grounds, including the river and hot tub, entirely at their own risk.

HOT TUB USE

Guests use the hot tub entirely at their own risk. The Doune Estate accepts no responsibility or liability for any accident, injury or illness arising from its use, including but not limited to skin irritation, waterborne illness or chemical exposure. Guests with heart conditions, blood pressure concerns, diabetes or other relevant health conditions should consult a doctor before use, and pregnant guests and the elderly should not use the hot tub. Alcohol and drugs should not be consumed before or during use, as they increase the risk of drowsiness and fainting. Please shower before and after use, and do not introduce bath bombs, soaps or oils, as these damage the filtration system. Do not use the hot tub if you have open wounds or an active infection. Sessions should be limited to 15–20 minutes, with no more than 6 people in the hot tub at any time. Glass of any kind is not permitted in or around the hot tub. Children under 6 are not permitted to use the hot tub, and anyone under 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Do not use the hot tub during thunderstorms, or if the water temperature exceeds 40°C. Always switch off the jets and secure the cover when the hot tub is not in use. The hot tub is professionally sanitised before every arrival; if the water appears cloudy, discoloured, or has an unusual odour, please do not use it and contact us immediately so it can be serviced.

GOVERNING LAW

These terms and conditions are governed by Scottish law and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
